Carol Post is the Chief Quality Assurance Officer for Thornton Tomasetti and is based out of the Chicago office. Founded in New York in 1949, Thornton Tomasetti operates in 25 offices in the US and an additional 25 throughout the world, and optimizes the design and performance of structures, materials and systems for projects of every size and level of complexity. Carol joined Thornton Tomasetti in 1997 and has more than 35 years of experience in structural engineering. Aside from day to day project work, Carol has been a leader for the firm’s Standards, QAQC Program and knowledge sharing initiatives such as Communities of Practice and Lessons Learned initiatives.
In 2018 Carol became the firm’s Chief Quality Assurance Officer, leading the firm's efforts to ensure that Thornton Tomasetti's work is consistent with our purpose and values, as well as our mission to be the global driver of change and innovation in our industry. Carol works directly with our global practice leaders to develop formalized QAQC protocols that are workable and effective for all of our practices and also focuses on incorporating risk mitigation measures early in project design.
