Paul Stewart joined Kiewit/TIC in 1994 as a Quality Control Inspector at the Kennecott Copper Smelter Modernization project in Magna, UT. Prior to TIC he attended Utah State University in Logan, UT, where he earned B.S. degrees in Welding Engineering and Business Administration. Paul instructed welding at Utah State University while attending college along with working as a welder/fabricator/machinist, where he fabricated equipment for nuclear power plants, flight simulators, and aircraft assembly lines.
Early in his career with TIC he held positions as Field Engineer, Purchasing Agent, and Project Quality Manager on mining, OGC, and power projects throughout the west. He was promoted to District Quality Manager for TIC’s Rocky Mountain Region in 1999 and was also appointed to oversee ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code work throughout the company. In 2002 he was promoted to TICH Corporate Quality Manager. In 2014 Paul assumed responsibilities as Quality Director for the Kiewit Energy Group with overall responsibility for the Energy Group Quality program, Welding Services and Heat Treat Groups. As of January 2019 Paul serves as Quality Director for Kiewit Corporation with responsibilities for Energy, Infrastructure, Building and Mining.
