With over two decades of operational experience, with a leading General Contractor in the Mid-Atlantic, Peter is forward-thinking and innovative and his attention to the daily management practices of subcontractors allows him to identify potential challenges with subcontractor performance.
Known for his commitment to quality, he brings a unique perspective for supporting Subcontractor Default Insurance (SDI). Peter never loses sight of the bigger picture and proactively works with customers to offer reasonable risk management/mitigation solutions to reduce risk. Drawing upon his extensive knowledge and experience, Peter is committed to establishing customer connections, creating partnerships, and building trust.
From small interior build-outs to high-rise residential condos, Peter has had exposure to all levels of a contractor’s organizational operation, having started as a project engineer, working through the organizational ranks to corporate stakeholder. Having developed and implemented a Quality Management program from the ground up, his focus grew to include Lean Construction and Sustainability. His direct experience at the various roles of a construction organization makes him relatable to our contractor partners at all levels of their business.
Peter became involved with the Construction Quality Executives Council in 2013, and during this time serving as Council Secretary and President Elect. He now serves as the Chair of the Insurance Subcommittee. He is an active member of the Lean Construction Institute (LCI) and serves on the core team for the DC Metro Community of Practice. He maintains the CM-Lean credential (CM-Lean), is a LEED Professional (LEED AP BD+C), and is a Safety Trained Supervisor (STSC).
