As the Director of Quality, Robert leads quality initiatives and oversees the quality management program at Sellen Construction, one of the leading general contractors in the Pacific Northwest. Robert joined Sellen in 2015 to help oversee the company’s recommitment to the next generation of best-in-class quality delivery. Drawing from his 30 years of industry experience, Robert helped reframe Sellen’s commitment to quality with measurable, verifiable data and a companywide focus on continuous improvement in quality management and control. Sellen’s approach to quality involves collecting vast amounts of data from the field to evaluate performance and anticipate challenges before they occur, resulting in better outcomes for clients, design partners and crews on the job site.
He is responsible for the development, implementation, and review of all quality management systems at Sellen, including the oversight of subcontractors, self-perform work crews, and other partners’ quality efforts. Robert coaches, mentors, trains, and supports a team of quality professionals and empowers each and every person at Sellen – no matter their role – to continuously improve processes and deliver best-in-class service to clients and partners.
