Steve Worner is Quality Director for Corval Group. Based in St. Paul, Minnesota, and established in 1921, Corval Group is a privately-held engineering, construction and fabrication organization performing work across the United States. Corval’s market expertise includes power and energy, manufacturing, health care, public facilities--with a specialty in refrigeration--particularly in the food, beverage and agricultural processing industries.
Since joining Corval in 2012, Steve uses a data-driven approach to leading the quality culture and Corval’s Quality Management System. Steve oversees Corval's ASME accredited Quality Control program, and he is Certified Welding Inspector with ASME endorsements. Building on the success of Corval’s behavioral-based safety culture, he guides engineers and construction leaders by identify key quality requirements and developing a systematic approach to manage those risks.
Prior to Corval, Steve was an Originator for enXco (now EDF Renewables), NRG Energy and for a Minnesota-based municipal power agency. Early in his career, Steve was a Mechanical Project Engineer overseeing capital projects for Flint Hills Resources.
In addition to his Quality Director role, Steve serves as a Construction Management Adjunct Instructor at Dunwoody College of Technology. Steve enjoys volunteering as a Contractor Representative for Local 539, as a BSA Troop Committee Chair, and previously served as a Clay Target Head Coach.
Steve received his Masters of Business Administration from the Carlson School of Management from the University of Minnesota and his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of North Dakota.
